Sweet. Delicious. Tacos. 5 Star rating says it all. No matter what you order - you cannot go wrong.

Not saying this place is bad, but it's just not great. Ironically we had been to Taco John's (my favorite fast food Mexican restaurant with 57 years of experience behind this opinion) the previous day. We split a Burrito Supreme, two tacos and a tostada. We then ended up at Miguel's Tacos on the second day of our road trip, and because of the rave reviews on TA, we knew we had to stop and enjoy. We ordered the same food items and decided: the burrito supreme (they call it the "Excel" at Miguel Taco's), was not the supreme but indeed the mediocre. The tacos were comparable in quality and flavor but they were smaller, and the tomatoes were "pink/white"....ick. I also vastly prefer the salsas at Taco John's. The "super spicy" salsa at Miguel Taco's is actually a buffalo sauce, and the other two salsas just weren't as good. The tostada was what wasted them. The refried beans were much too salty, it had zero tomatoes, much too much cheese and the shell was soggy/chewy. Taco Johns continues to trump the Mexican fast food market in my opinion and Miguel Tacos just is not a contender.

Even whiter than Taco Bell. Bland food and small portions. Place was clean and ingredients were fresh but not much else going for it.

For fast mexican food, very good. A step up from Taco Johns. The tots with cheese are awesome. Few selections on wraps, and an authentic cornerstone in DL.

Phenomenal service and great cheap food! Tots Surprise is one of the best things on the menu. If I could rate it a 10, I would. My only complaint is that it gets pretty busy because this place is so popular. Luckily the food is prepared super quick and they always keep the line moving quickly!

This is the greatest place in Detroit Lakes for quick Mexican food. It is all homemade and it isn't a chain (unlike Taco John's). The tostadas are great, the prices are very cheap, and the service is very quick. This is a local lunch spot and gets very busy during the summer months. Yum!

This is a Taco Bell style restaurant. Nothing special about it. Not many healthy options on the menu.

This is the place in DL for fast mexiacan food. Great fast service. Everything you want. Try the beef burrito or enchilada or tostada or chicken soft shell. Wifey likes the nacho excel. Way above taco johns.
